Priscilla and Isaac’s Wedding Trailer at Whitby Castle

1.What were the theme and colors of your wedding? Romantic, simple, elegant, Dusty blue, blush, gold

2.How did you decide on this theme? We didn’t want anything too flashy or over-board…. so lots of Pinterest searching for something simple but elegant and romantic.

3.How did you meet each other? We met at Central Park at the Summer Stage Concert. Jerry Rivera, a salsa artist was performing that day. I was waiting for my friend to arrive and Isaac was looking for his friend when he asked if he could sit next to me.

4.How long have you been dating? Since August 2009.

5.How did he propose? Isaac asked for my parents permission to propose. Growing up, my parents were very strict so I was not allowed to date. Isaac was the first guy that I introduced to my parents and because he knew how much this meant to me and how important it was, he even asked for their permission to date me. In July 2014, we went to Brazil for the World Cup. On the last day of our trip, in Rio de Janeiro, we had planned to go paragliding. Isaac went first, so once I landed he was already waiting for me. Before I could be unhooked from the instructor, Isaac got on one knee, said a few words and asked for my hand in marriage. I said yes and we kissed and hugged (me, Isaac, and the paragliding instructor that I was still tied to). Afterward, I found out that Isaac had already spoken to the instructors (without me noticing of course) and told them of his plan. I also found out that Isaac had the ring in a small little pants pocket, which was a risky move considering it could have fallen out while paragliding. I imagine that all engagements are special, but this one- after the emotional rush of paragliding, overseeing Copacabana and being in Brazil during the World Cup, was…. well, pretty darn spectacular.

A Few Tidbits About the Happy Couple:
– We met in July, got engaged in July and got married in July.
– We both like to travel and love music.
– First vacation together was to Ecuador with my family. First vacation alone was to Dominican Republic.
– We have a bulldog named Niko, who was given to us by one of the groomsmen, who is also the father of the ring bearer/our Godchild.
