Ally and Alberto’s wedding trailer at the River Café

How it happened:

New York City really is a magical place. At least, it was for Ally and Alberto. It is a place where millions of people interact every day but rarely make a real connection. The story of how Ally and Alberto met through a series of coincidences is nothing short of a modern-day fairy tale. Although, fairy tales don’t usually start with an online ad for a new roommate… but, thanks to that ad, and to many other coincidences that can only be explained by the stars aligning at the right moment, they met and fell in love.

Over the last five years, Ally and Alberto have moved from the City that Never Sleeps to the City of Pasta Bolognese where they now live with their precious bulldog, Morgan. Ally and Alberto are so happy and blessed to have the support of their family and friends throughout every stage of the relationship. They can’t wait to start this next adventure together in the city where it all began. See you in New York!

The wedding day:
Ally and Alberto were married in Bologna, Italy on June 18, 2016, and I had the pleasure of filming their New York wedding on July 28, 2016, at The River Café in New York.

Since the couple lives in Italy, the bride and groom both stayed at Air BNB’s in Brooklyn and I must say, they are really Nice!! Ally and Alberto had the first look in DUMBO, below the Brooklyn Bridge on a picturesque day. It was cloudy, but the weather held up as we walked the streets with their amazing photographer Andre Maier. Once the photo shoot was complete we waited patiently for the ceremony to begin as the sky became grey and the clouds started to build. Everyone was nervous because the ceremony was taking place outdoors in the gardens of The River Café. Ally’s dad performed the ceremony and he promised there would be no rain during the ceremony. Although the wind was whipping and the dark clouds covered the sky we made it through the nuptials with only a few sprinkles.😁 Once the ceremony concluded we went back inside for cocktails and reception. Even when the rain started many of the guests were outside enjoying the most amazing views of the Brooklyn Bridge and NYC. It was a night of great food and wonderful company for Ally and Alberto’s very special New York wedding day.
